The Smash Plant

Some of the biggest records of the last fifty years were tracked in a handful of rooms in Miami. The Smash Plant rebuilds three of them from their real shapes and surfaces, then simulates how sound moves through each one and reaches the mics.

Put a track in any room and pick it up with three mic channels. Choose each channel's mic, move it from near to far or to the room's signature position, and blend the three like you would on the console.

Seventy-nine stereo responses calculated by a room simulator, built into the plug-in.

Three mic channels

Pick each channel’s mic, then move it near, mid, far or to the room’s signature position.

Mix like a console

Width, pan, level, mute, solo and polarity on every channel.

Re-mic or ambience

Replace the track with the room, or blend the room in with Mix, on an insert or an aux.

Program EQ and leveller

A fully parametric three-band EQ with low and high cut, and a valve leveller with VU and gain-reduction meters.
